Five year old staffordshire bull terrier, “Ashscott President Coin” aka Leon.

Some of Leon’s favorite hobbies with his family are catching discs and practicing AKC obedience, though his main focus is BSA

Here, he is shown practicing one of the elements of BSA called “trackmill”. Trackmill is a test of drive and stamina that consists of chasing a lure above for up to 10 minutes. The dogs must past a certain point on both sides of a 100ft track to count as a rep, with higher reps being considered more desired within the time frame given.

Leon’s dam was born in the United States, but the previous 4 generations were born in Europe (majority from the Netherlands). There are several European sporting Stafford champions within his 4 generation pedigree.

I greatly enjoyed meeting some fantastic examples of the SBT breed and can’t wait to share more about these intense yet lovable animals!

Leon is owned by Nathan Bass.

Young Malinois “Clara” playing some UPDOG with her mom, Lauren Mackenzie, at NashVertical Disc Dogs “Camp NV” event.

I remember Clara when she was just a tiny puppy, so it’s hard to believe how quickly she’s grown. Now she’s out on the field, chasing discs to her heart’s content!

It’s always rewarding to watch a young dog grow into their potential. Clara and Lauren make a wonderful team, and I can’t wait to see where this girl goes from here.

First Class Kennel’s “Tyson” showing in the PDC obedience. Tyson is a Presa Canario, a breed that is rarely seen competing in PSA, making this team especially exciting to watch.

Tyson and his handler brought a lot of presence and personality to the field, and it was a pleasure to watch them work through the PDC together.

I’m looking forward to seeing what they accomplish as they continue their journey into the Level 1s. I have a feeling this is just the beginning for Tyson and his team.
