Hello all, I wanted to make an announcement regarding a change that I'm making in how I choose what photos I post to my social media pages.
I am not a family photographer so I do not photograph children often at all, but sometimes when I photograph events or performances there will be children involved who do get photographed.
Effective immediately, I will no longer be posting photos of minors on any of my pages.
The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals just ruled that privately possessing AI-generated CSAM depicting “fictional” children can be constitutionally protected as long as it stays within the home and doesn't harm real children.
If you do any basic research on AI, you will quickly learn that AI relies on real photos and videos of real people to learn how to generate things. That means that these "AI children" were derived from real photos of real children.
I will not be part of the problem and I will not contribute to helping AI learn how to create such vile and evil content. So if your child is involved in any future events or performances that I photograph and I do not post them, it is nothing personal to you or your child. I am simply trying to keep them safe.
