Some families start as clients and quietly become part of your heart..

This family is one of those for me.

I have had the privilege of photographing them through so many seasons, and every time I’m with them, I’m reminded of what a gift this work really is. Their boys are so deeply loved, so wonderfully themselves, and so easy to adore.

Their oldest is a face you’ll never forget if you’ve been following me for a while. He was the first to completely steal my heart. The first child that wasn’t my own that I love with an intensity so deep that it could start wildfires. And again, they have gifted me with a second love that adds fuel to that flame.

Sessions like this remind me that this craft is not just about pretty pictures. It is about preserving the people, the connection, the softness, the resilience, and the story that might otherwise pass too quickly.

This family is one of the reasons I continue to believe in this work, even in the harder seasons.

Thank you for letting me love you through my lens. It is an honor I will never take lightly.

One of my favorite things about the studio is that no matter the time of day, the light cascades through these windows with an urgency to be felt. The warmth of the golden light wraps itself around tiny moments like these.. the quiet movements, the soft giggles. There’s a sense of ethereal magic here that turns these fleeting moments into timeless memories. That’s what I have been building this space for.

An absolute overshare from the very first session in the new studio. Since my medical leave I have lost my place in the algorithm.. but this is an overshare that will forever be engrained in my heart and if this falls on your feed today, you need to see it too.

Four generations stood in front of my camera… roots and branches of the same story, all held together in one frame. The quiet strength of a mother in her 90s, the stoicism of a father at her side. Surrounded by the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild who exist because of them. And at the very edge of that legacy, a baby not yet a year old… just beginning his place in this legacy.

They told me this may be the last time they’re all able to gather like this with their parents.

And I don’t think people always realize what a weight that carries. To be the one trusted to preserve something that cannot be recreated later.

This is the gentle truth that love endures decades; heirlooms that witnessed lives unfold, all because two people chose that love.

Being a photographer has given me the privilege of witnessing milestones like this—moments that are tender, fleeting, and deeply human. Moments that deserve to be remembered exactly as they were. And if you know me even a little bit, you know I don’t take that lightly.
