I know I’ve been a little quiet around here this summer but, the truth is, it’s just been too loud everywhere else.

Life has asked me to slow down. I’ve had to take a step back to focus on healing, growing, and simply putting one foot in front of the other. This season has held a lot of change.

To every client who trusted me with your memories this summer, who gave me grace, patience, and kindness, thank you. Your sessions have been a small sliver of happiness during a hard season.

I’m not quite 100% yet, but I’m finding my footing again and I’m genuinely excited for the upcoming fall season!

Fall mini sessions will be released this Sunday! I’m looking forward to filling my calendar with golden light, cozy moments, and all the joy that this season brings.

Thank you for being here even during the quiet seasons. 🫶📸🍂

A little reminder that our loved ones stick around

🦋🦋🦋

Back story: Becky and Jim are my parents best friends. Julie and Lisa grew up across the street from them and their mom is also bestfriends with Becky. I grew up wearing their handmedowns and then once we got older they became my family/wedding photographers. They are absolutely one of the reasons I fell in love with photography and had the courage to start my business. Sadly, we lost Jim in 2014. Although everyone in that group is still very close, there will always feel like a piece is missing.

Anyways. The day of their session, two different times, I had a little chat with Jim. I asked him if he's still watching over me and he thinks I'm making the right life choices, to show me a butterfly while I was with Julie and Lisa. The girls and I were walking out to the field and *as soon* as we reached it a butterfly slowly flew right in front of all of us.

They're always with us 🫶🦋

I read a quote recently that said, "Future you is begging you to slow down and enjoy this season of life."

Every season feels ordinary while you're living it. Then one day, it's a memory.

Someday, you'll look back and realize these were the moments that mattered most. The tiny toes, the sleepy cuddles, the way they fit perfectly in your arms.

That's why I do what I do. So years from now, when the crib is empty and those tiny feet are running through the house, you'll still have these moments to hold onto.
