If you’re looking for some inspiration to be more adventurous, here’s a wonderful story.

Jane Dotchin is an 83 years old (maybe 84 by now) British lady who follows her passion. Since 1972, she has been doing a yearly 600-mile trek with her 15 year old pony, Diamond, and disabled Jack Russell, Dinky.

She sets off on this epic journey from her home near Hexham, Northumberland, up to Inverness, Scotland and covers between 15 and 20 miles a day. Her journey usually takes around seven weeks, depending on weather.

The trip sees Jane carrying everything she needs on her back, including her tent, food, and a few key belongings.

After the initial journey, she caught the taste for the open road, and travels to visit friends near Fort Augustus, near Loch Ness, Highlands, every autumn and has made many friends along the way.

She sustains herself on porridge, oatcakes, and cheese, and doesn’t need much electricity as she has an old mobile phone with a battery that lasts six weeks.

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Ephesians 4:6-7. The Message

I really needed these verses. Maybe some of you do as well 💕
