People book me for photos. What they actually get is someone who learns them first, who knows their laugh before the wedding day even starts. I help hold the timeline together, I’m your hype person and your moral support, and I’m there for the planning meeting and the engagement session, not just the big day. I’m the loud one who gets your whole extended family through photos without losing anyone’s patience, and I know when to step in and when to just let the moment happen on its own. That’s the job. The photos are what’s left over from doing it right. ❤️📸

Nobody tells you how fast it all changes. 🥺 One day you're staring at those tiny fingers at 2 a.m., wondering if you'll ever sleep again... and somehow, before you're ready, those fingers aren't quite so tiny anymore. You won't remember every sleepy stretch. Every little newborn sound. The way they curled into your chest. The exact feeling of holding them when they were brand new.
You're allowed to be tired. To be overwhelmed. To soak it all in while also counting down until bedtime. But someday, you'll want to remember. You'll want to remember how your baby looked and how it all felt. And that...that's worth holding onto.

My son had a full meltdown on the way into pre-K this morning. It wasn’t a small one. It was the kind where you question every decision that got you both there. And it reminded me why I never ask a kid to
“perform” for a camera. They’re not props.
They’re having a whole day, a whole life, most of which has nothing to do with me or my lens. My job isn’t to get them to smile on command. It’s to catch what’s actually true about them, meltdown mornings included.

You think I need a lot from you to make a session work. I don’t. I need you to show up, bring your people, and let the rest happen. No forced smiles, no matching outfits, no waiting for perfect light. The things people stress about before a session are almost never the things that actually make it good. Save the energy. Just come as you are ❤️📸
