Happy anniversary! I still can’t get over how gorgeous and intimate this wedding was. I can still close my eyes and smell the lavender and feel the summer sun on my face. Capturing any wedding is an honor but capturing a friend’s wedding is another kind of special.

I’m headed up to Mount Rainier today and it has me reminiscing about this gorgeous elopement. I’m going to arrive 4 hours early so I can explore and get my time in with mother nature in one of my happy places. So excited!

Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all of the veterans for your service. My grand father served in the army in the Korean War and also was in the Navy. He passed away recently and we got to have an honor walk at the VA hospital and it was really beautiful. My favorite thing I found cleaning out his apartment was his journal full of entires and photos from his time at war. I was thinking of his legacy and all the family I have because of him and my nana. It is amazing to see what two people can create. I am also remembering my neighbor Nick who passed away while serving in the Iraq war. So many childhood memories with him. Sending extra love to his family today and all the others whose loved ones never came home.

Weddings are impossible to fit into a carousel. Every moment of this traditional Hindu ceremony was layered with meaning, symbolism and celebration. I’m endlessly grateful for the opportunity to embrace the beautiful ways different cultures honor marriage and family. Congratulations A + L, what a magical day!

Wow, four years in a row as best of ! It is such an honor to be a wedding photographer. I have made deep connections with so many incredible couples. I continue to photograph them as their families grow and it is such a privilege to share life’s biggest moments with them. I’ve shot well over 150 weddings now and have made friends with amazing vendors and I am incredibly grateful for that community. C + C have the kind of love that everyone around them can feel. They have this warmth about them that is truly special. Their wedding day reflected their energy perfectly. It was a gorgeous sunny day full of laughter and happy tears, with meaningful details and so much joy. They both looked incredible and everything went perfectly. Lara and Tyler had a beautiful October wedding surrounded by family and their closest friends. They opted for a first touch and private vows instead of a first look. There were sprinkles of rain for the start of the ceremony and by the end the sun was shining. For the reception, they did “hora da gravata” a Brazilian tie cutting tradition and played bingo. It was so fun to see the cultures come together especially on the dance floor. Everyone had the best time celebrating this gorgeous couple. Congratulations again you two!❤️
