Proof that the dance floor is where the fun wedding photos happen. When everyone forgets the camera is there: the ties come off, the heels end up on the side of the dance floor, and the best memories unfold. No poses or prompts. What unfolds isn’t planned.

Charleston, you always seem to send me home with something.

Last June, it was this wedding. The kind of wedding that reminds me why I picked up a camera in the first place. The kind where work doesn’t feel like work, and time somehow moves too fast and stands still all at once.

This week, brought me to Charleston again. Long conversations, old friends, & new friends. New ideas. Honest reminders that it’s possible to build a business you love and a life you love alongside it.

I’m leaving feeling tired, full, grateful, and already counting down the days until I’m back in this pastel Southern city.

More Charleston weddings are waiting. And I have a feeling they’re going to be really good!

Almost through the first month of the year and still thinking about last week. Maggie & Ryan’s wedding in Costa Rica: warm sun, sand under my feet, and the best possible way to start 2026. Came home to a literal ice storm 🥶 If anyone needs me I’m mentally be back in Costa Rica (or Panama).

What a way to end 2025 on 30a! Katie’s style is impeccable. Everything she picked to wear was perfect, from their engagement session in Big Sur, CA all the way to the beaches of Rosemary, I squealed every time she grabbed something to wear or accessorize.

Sarah Shea & Connor spent their summers on Lake Martin with their families, likely passing each other, but never meeting until their summers on the lake were in the past. But when it came time to choose a location for their wedding they chose the place that meant so much to them, and their families.

Last Alabama wedding for the year this weekend, this one is on Lake Martin! My wedding season isn’t over yet, just saying a see you next year to Alabama until 2026. Can’t wait to see some familiar faces on Saturday.

Sarah Shea & Connor opted for a beachside & Rosemary engagement session on 30a. They wanted something different for their engagement session, than the backdrop they’ll have for their wedding day. This pair didn’t stop smiling & staying near each other the entire evening, the session flowed with ease as we walked through Rosemary & along the 30a water. Can’t wait for this weekend!

It was kismet that Life of a Showgirl dropped the Friday of Emily & David’s wedding weekend. I knew I was in the right room of the when I heard the music selection, it was the album on repeat.

But what a weekend. Spending time in Chicago visiting the beach of Lake Michigan, eating deep dish pizza, I got to visit my cousin & wife (shout out .redhead & ), then capturing this wedding weekend. This wedding reception was a lesson in how to do neutral color palettes & texture with pops of soft color. The band nailed their part & kept everyone on the dance floor to the very end of the night.
