Don't underestimate the power of capturing images inside your home. The place where your love is cultivated and grown, where laughter and tears fill the memories of its walls.

The spot doesn't have to be perfect, just perfectly yours.

There is a time and place for sessions outside the home, I understand and I enjoy those! But in your process of capturing memories, be careful not to erase the reality of where you and your family are now. I believe the original intent of photography was to document not curate. And what power was held in those moments documented.

While driving, I saw the perfect trail of freshly fallen leaves twist and turn after the car in front of me drove over them. It was mesmerizing. It was a first for me, I honestly thought that the car commercials just made it up, but sure enough, it happens in real life! May be small for some, but it felt like a big "little" moment for me!

To top it off, I met this little baby today when we took their in home lifestyle newborn photos. Such a beautiful family and very excited to start working on their next round of images 🥰

My hope for you.

There is something intoxicating about love. The rush you get when you are pulled in for a kiss, the tingling sensation you experience when your eyes lock for an extended period of time and the flush of warmth when your hands touch.

But.

But there is more. There is more that can come from the love that two people share. More than what you can give one another, but what you choose to do together. When you choose to create life *or adopt* and enter a life of selfless living.

It's humbling, messy, and lacking in "glamour," but you understand love on a level you did not know existed. To surrender your body not for pleasure but to create and sustain life is in itself living giving (for you).

So today I hope you experience this and enter a stage of life where your heart is held in the tiny palm of a babe who relies entirely upon you for survival.

Recently, I have been gifted a handful of clippings. One day, these clippings will add to my growing collection of plants inside my home . Propagation has been a fun and patient experience, and I cannot help but see the similarities in our personal growth. Whether by force or by natural rhythm, we experience seasons of growth but rarely on the outside, or above the soil, does it look like anything is happening. Soaking these clippings in water has allowed us the unique experience of watching the "unseen" work be revealed. And how true this is when a new skill, development or path of life is being cultivated in us!

As I had to remind myself today, I will attempt to encourage you as well, that whatever good thing is being cultivated in you WILL one day lead to visual growth "above the soil." Don't grow weary in your work and effort. Allow those roots to grow long and deep, so when you do start to flourish and the fruit begins to be seen, it can grow mightily and still hold firm. So no matter what storm or thief tries to come to challenge or destroy, you and your abilities will hold true.

Until then, know that I am in thick of it with you. Let's get back to letting those roots grow. What a season of life this has been!

As we close out Christmas 2022 over here, I can't help but be overwhelmed with all the goodness that has fallen upon us. I look forward to sharing my review of the year soon, but until then I'll just be over here rolling myself into bed, remembering all the sweet moments from today and enjoying our little visit with the jolly old man himself!

Hi 👋

Just over here being late on all things Christmas in my household. But I'm getting it done 💪🏻. However, I needed a break from my late-ish Christmas card making. (Sincerely grateful for awesome images from ladies like and who are making that process much easier this year!)

What better way to take a break than to reminisce over my weekend in Nashville. And this lady right here🔥! Pretty sure I could have spent an entire hour creating magic with her. However, for now it was just a mere 2 minutes. But she showed up! Her energy was contagious and her personality matched the colorful pop of the candy store that I met her in. you are a gem 💎
