I carved out some time to catch at least catch the Mount Vernon, Iowa bands Jazz Bands for Festival of Bands last night. I was very impressed by the Middle School Jazz Band --so the future is looking bright for the Jazz program. It was fun to see a "color guard" demo and to look forward to next Marching Band season next fall. The soup supper was very delicious way to start the evening.

Had the good fortune today to have Grant and Isabell in for a quick photo session. Grant with a nod to character “Tyler Durden” aka Brad Pitt in the "Fight Club" movie and then some in his new suit from Bauman's of Mt. Vernon.
