I’ve been quietly working on something I’ve wanted to create for a long time.

Every backdrop in this first collection has been painted by hand, layer by layer, with the goal of creating timeless color and texture that photographs beautifully. No mass production. No printed patterns. Just real canvas, real paint, and a lot of time.

The first Reed & Canvas collection will be available August 15th.

I can’t wait to show you the full lineup over the next few weeks. Thank you to everyone who’s followed along and encouraged this dream from the beginning—it truly means more than you know.

Same backdrop. Studio light, golden hour, a ladder in a field. It’s held its own every single time.

This is what I mean when I say the product isn’t the canvas, it’s what the light does with it. I painted this one to hold shadow and depth no matter where it ends up, and so far it hasn’t let me down.

More of these are coming. If you’re a photographer who’s tired of flat printed backdrops, stay close.
