“I’m waiting on the rain to come and wash it all away.”

We all carry heavy things. Some of it can never be taken back or fixed. Some losses come out of nowhere. Some happened a long time ago. Neither one is easier than the other.

Twenty four hours on those steps gives you a lot of time to sit with what actually matters, and with the what ifs you usually keep buried.

The rain came. It poured through the night, through the last climb, and it was still coming down when we walked away. It didn’t wash anything away. That isn’t how it works. But no one that day and into the night moved through it alone. Those names were said aloud and are remembered.

What an absolutely amazing experience and what an incredible weekend.

Sooo much time has passed.

Tomorrow we launch our first ever electrolyte powder for COMMON and this video has been the last month and a half, including a lost hard drive, but some of the bits and pieces of the traveling, chaos, samples, and random testers that have happened in order to bring it to life.

Nobody should have to carry this alone.

September 12 and 13, 30 of us climb the Rocky Steps for 24 hours straight. It supports Legacy of Hope and the families fighting cancer who need support. Food. Housing. Medical bills. The parts of life that fall apart when everything else already has.

Some of us are climbing for people we lost. Others for people still in the fight.
But all of us are climbing because they believe nobody should do this by themselves.

Doesn’t matter what got each of us here. We go up together.

Not one person doing all 24 hours alone.

There are moments where you get pulled into something you didn’t go looking for.

Last year I filmed my friend Cameron to share his story ahead of PHL24, a 24-hour endurance event he was running in memory of his brother, lost to cancer. I sat with his story for a long time.

This year I’m not just telling it. I’m running it with him.

PHL24 supports Legacy of Hope, a Philadelphia nonprofit whose Emergency Patient Support Network shows up for cancer patients and families when they have nowhere else to turn. Food. Housing. Home repairs. Transportation. The parts of life that fall apart when the disease takes everything else.

Their words say it best. No family should lose their home or go without food because a loved one is fighting cancer.

Cameron runs for his brother.
I’ll run alongside him.
Quitting is a Luxury.
