Something no one really talks about is the struggle when you're a creative person but your art is not your full-time job.
Maybe you're working a 9-5 or something similar to have insurance, job security, steady income, or what have you. No one talks about finding the balance between being an artist and being whatever else you are in life. Maybe you're not only a colleague, but you're a parent or partner too. You're someone's child, sibling, best friend... So many hats take so many roles and a lot of energy - especially if you're neurospicy like I am.
Finding balance is key and I'm trying to get it for myself. I've been in a cycle of burning out for far too long and need to get control of it. I'm finding healthier ways to deal with stress, adapt to my roles in life, and yes - rediscover my creative spark.
This summer will be dedicated to catching up, learning additional skills, and passion projects. I'm still open for hire and am excited at the ideas of my clients to bring them to life. Expect to see some cool things in the future as I experiment and grow as an artist. 🖤
