Winners of the Moundridge Community Photo Contest will be announced Friday, Feb. 14 at half time of the Moundridge High School girls basketball game. The game begins at 6 p.m. with photo contest winners announced around 6:30 p.m.

A team of three volunteer judges recently reviewed over 100 photographs entered in the contest. Judging was done for two age divisions: 18 and under and 19 and over. Winners were selected in four categories: Landscape/Cityscape, Still Life, Portrait, and Moundridge at Work (a new category this year).

The judges selected first, second and third place winners in each category. Grand Champions were chosen for each age division. Grand Champion and first place winners will receive cash prizes.

After winners are announced, the photos will be on display at the Moundridge Public Library, February 17 through mid-March.

The bi-annual photography contest is sponsored by the City of Moundridge, Moundridge Chamber of Commerce and Moundridge Arts Council. The purpose of the contest is to gain a broad view of our community. It also provides sponsoring entities with photographs to be used to promote Moundridge.
