After an allergy shot appointment (because I’m allergic to Earth), a few errands, and a little moment of frustration with my internet (that finally decided to cooperate 😅), I’m settling into something I truly love… editing.

It’s such a beautiful day, and I’m so thankful I get to spend it doing what fills my heart—going through images and reliving the moments I’ve had the honor of capturing.

These captures truly hold a special place in my heart. 🤍 I’m a little picky about each photo because every detail matters, so editing may take a few days—but I promise it’s all done with care and intention.

The Blue Angels. U.S. Navy Blue Angels

Yesterday was one of those moments I wish I could bottle up forever.

My youngest daughter (who had the day off) and I spend the morning at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola watching the Blue Angels practice from the Flight Line, and wow...what an experience. There's just something about seeing them that close - the precision, the power, the teamwork - it truly leaves you in awe.

And "Wobbly"... goodness. He came right over us with the loudest roar, and I'll be honest, I didn't even try to grab a photo. Some moments are just meant to be felt, not captured. He definitely cooked us.

Now I'll be the first to say - I'm no expert in aviation photography, and I didn't have the "perfect" lens for this kind of shoot. But I did my best with what I have, and honestly, that's part of the beauty of it. I captured some great shots regardless. Every photo shared here was captured with my Canon EF 75 - 300mm lens, using my Canon R8 camera along with the EF to RF adaptor.

I'm so excited to share a few of my favorites with you. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do - freezing pieces of time that we never want to forget.

Yesterday I had the honor of photographing a retirement celebration for someone who has truly left an impact in my life and many others, and my heart is still so full. A friend shared something that truly meant so much to me: “I was watching you and you truly enjoy your job.” And yes… yes, I really do.

I love capturing the sweetest moments that will one day become cherished memories. I love telling stories through my lens and documenting the beautiful people who make those stories so special.

And the sweetest reassurance came from the retirement queen herself: “I know I can put my phone down and not worry, because you’ll capture every moment.”

That right there… that’s why I’m here. So you can put your phones away, be present, relax, and truly enjoy every moment. I’ve got you covered… or better yet, I’ve got it photographed. 🤍

When you love what you do, it never feels like work.

Adding a few more flags to the collection 🇺🇸

250 flags, 250 stories, one nation. Grateful to be part of something that brings people together in such a meaningful way.

One flag tells the story of an officer whose life was taken while trying to keep the peace, even while off duty. Law enforcement officers risk their lives every day to keep us safe—please keep them in your prayers. 🤍

Another flag was captured by a friend while out on her boat—reminding me how these stories come from all walks of life and places.

I’m so honored to have one of my images published in Issue 25: Trains & Lighthouses by Photography & more Magazine. This photo was captured in historic downtown DeFuniak Springs. The train station in historic downtown DeFuniak Springs, Florida, is the former Louisville & Nashville (L&N) Railroad depot built in 1889. Today, it’s the Walton County Heritage Museum.

I’m always so grateful and humbled when my work is recognized like this. Congratulations to all of the talented photographers featured in this issue as well! 🤍
