There are some families you photograph and immediately notice it. The way they laugh together. The way they interact. The way mom and dad genuinely enjoy being with their children.

I recently heard a quote that said, “The more parents enjoy their parenthood, the more children enjoy their childhood.” Watching this family, I couldn’t help but think about how true that is. 🤍

The joy, patience, laughter, and connection they share create the kind of childhood their children will remember forever. It was such a gift to spend an evening with this sweet Moses Lake family and capture this season of life exactly as it is. 🤍

One of the things I love most about senior sessions for guys is how many great locations we have right here in Moses Lake. From vintage trucks and wheel lines to wide open fields and country roads, there are so many opportunities to create images that feel timeless and masculine.

Now booking Class of 2027 seniors. 🎓

Sneak peeks for Mr. & Mrs. Garvin 😍

A beautiful May wedding, a breathtaking venue, and two people who so clearly adore one another. Surrounded by their favorite people and celebrating the start of a lifetime together, it was such a joy to witness and capture! 🥹

I loved every minute of this one and can’t wait to share more soon. 🤍

This week on Gems of Grant County, we’re featuring one of the sweetest parts of small-town life here in Moses Lake… the Farmers Market. 🌿☀️Fresh flowers, local makers, incredible food, live music, and community all wrapped into one beautiful Saturday morning. Be sure to stop by the Moses Lake Farmers Market this summer and support the incredible local vendors that make our community so special. 🤍

Such a sweet evening with the Taylor family in one of my favorite Eastern Washington locations! 🤍The weather could not have been more beautiful, and I’m always so thankful for families who make sessions feel so relaxed and full of genuine love. These are the moments that make this job such a gift 🤍

In honor of my mom’s birthday today, I’m resharing my parents’ 35th anniversary photos from last fall. 🩵 One of my favorite parts of this session was my dad’s beautifully restored MG. How cute is this car?! I will always cherish these photos of my sweet parents and the commitment they’ve built over the last 35 years! Praise be to God! 🥹

The longer I photograph weddings, the more I realize these are the moments that matter most. Not just the pretty details. Not just the portraits for socia media... But the legacy photographs, like these!

A bride standing beside her mother and both of her grandmothers on her wedding day. Four generations of women. Four stories. So many years of love, sacrifice, covenant, perseverance, motherhood, and marriage represented in a single frame! And this photo of their wedding rings together… quite possibly one of my favorite photos of my entire career thus far! 🥹

These are the photographs that become family treasures. One thing I always encourage my couples to do: intentionally leave space in your wedding day timeline for meaningful family photographs… especially with parents and grandparents. You will never regret slowing down for these moments. 🤍

There’s just something so special about expecting your very first baby 🥹 The anticipation, the wonder, the tiny kicks, the dreaming of who they’ll become… such a beautiful season to remember forever.

And also… lime green and soft pink this time of year? Absolute perfection! 🌸💚 Love this sweet mom and dad and can’t wait for them to have their babes in their arms!

Not every beautiful session has to happen during golden hour ☀️ While that dreamy sunset light will always have my heart, this sweet little family session is proof that earlier evening light can still be incredibly soft, glowy, and beautiful… especially for families with little ones who have early bedtimes. 🤍

One of my favorite things as a photographer is learning how to work with all kinds of light well, not just the “perfect” kind. The key is knowing how to position families, use open shade, and work with the environment to create images that still feel timeless and full of warmth.

I love helping families choose session times that work best for both their schedule and the overall feel they’re wanting for their photos! 🌸

There’s something really special about the people and businesses that make up Grant County… and for a long time now, I’ve wanted to find a meaningful way to highlight some of them. So today I’m so excited to finally introduce a brand new series called Gems of Grant County! 😍This series is all about celebrating some of the incredible local businesses, families, places, and people that help make this area feel like home. And it felt only fitting to begin with The Seed Cupboard in Royal City. What started as one small greenhouse and a little red shed has grown into something truly beautiful… and beyond the flowers, trees, gift shop, hanging baskets, grill, and greenhouses, you can genuinely feel the heart behind it all when you visit! I’m really grateful to the businesses who are opening their doors and allowing me to tell a small piece of their story through this series. I hope this project encourages people to slow down a little, explore locally, support small businesses, and appreciate the wonderful things we have right here in Grant County. 🤍
