See You on the Other Side

This place is interesting for me. It’s really close to my new home, yet I’m always rushing and fumbling out the house to make it in time to capture a sunset. With the rush I tend to forget things. The last two times I’ve come here Ive left my tripod, and by the time I arrive it’s too late to turn back to home and grab it. So,free hand it is.

There’s something about exiting a forest to a clearing. A foreshadowing perspective to a bright wide opening ahead. What could be waiting there?

I love chasing these types of amazing moments. Dreams seem to come true with every trip. Expectations become far exceeded, even when they don’t seem to have the chance. I’m grateful I can make these times an endless series to my life. I can travel back in time with a glimpse of any photo. It brings the best out in me; it’s what I hold closest; it’s my peace. The fall will always be my favorite.

I’m reminded now and again of what really matters. The more time goes, I find the simple to be the most divine, important, and invaluable. I get lost in the noise sometimes, probably more frequently the older I get. But then instances like this one remind me of what really matters. Who matters and where. It reminds me to continue and to strengthen being more involved with them, and give less credit and attention to the noise. The answer is as clear as the creek, and shining bright on that horizon.

Years of work and it seems my night moves have come along. This dry year certainly makes me reminisce times like this one. I remember us frozen in this spot admiring the golden blanket of autumn foliage all around, and I knew the cover of night would bring even more to this spot. One from the past that is still timeless to me.

Where They Meet.

Every now and then, every idiosyncrasy aligns, like this calm pond mirrored the vibrant cast of clouds on the eastern horizon at sunrise. A sunrise to mark my 34th year I have existed and journeyed around the very thing that made this spectacle . I felt blessed to witness this one - the idiosyncrasies seemed to all align just for me to see and capture. What a good day and life.

Drenched Prismatic

Drenched in rain. The grand prismatic did not disappoint with its foggy moodiness from the coldfront and thunderstorms that passed through Yellowstone. We walked and danced a little in the rain as we marveled the colors of this extraordinary place.

The Watcher

Gazing at it all, the overload of vibrancy and beauty. The sunrise that won your heart to chasing others with me. The storyline I seem to always try to capture again, but who am I kidding? The first one is always the best. Whether this depicts the story of us watching the sunrise, or me watching you truly see something magical, it simply reminds me how grateful I am to have you in and as a part of my whole life . It also reminds me of the little I knew back then about how important you are and continue to be. I love you - my beautiful sunrise watcher..

Like so many, the back stories, the before and after the moments, the instances not recorded. That seems to be all I find when I get lost in moments like these.

I vowed to myself I would catch a pink potato bloom again, and wouldn’t you know I finally timed it right. Seems like life cooperated too.
