Have you ever met a 4-H livestock kid? If you haven't, let me tell you a little bit about them.
They've learned responsibility before many kids their age. They've learned that hard work pays off, that showing up every day matters, and that success doesn't come without dedication. They are some of the most inviting and welcoming people you'll ever meet. Their kindness, respect, and willingness to help others are what make them so special.
This life builds kids who know how to work, how to lead, how to stay humble, and how to keep going when it gets hard.
One of the things you won't notice in my pictures is all the support surrounding these 4-H'ers. Behind every kid in the ring are parents, grandparents, siblings, leaders, volunteers, and a community cheering them on. 4-H'ers, always remember to thank those people. Whether they're there just to watch you, helping you get ready, or they're the ones holding the halter, they are a huge part of your journey.
It's an incredible opportunity to be in the show ring, and you can't do it alone. Behind every open door is someone who believed in you first, encouraged you, and helped you get there.
Redwood County 4-H , thank you for letting me spend the week with you. You are raising incredible human beings, and it has been a privilege to capture these memories. Remember to DOWNLOAD your images and share this post so others can enjoy them too!
To everyone out there, remember to raise your kids with livestock. You won't regret it.
