For those of us who appreciate and love Turkey vultures.
These were staging in our front yard recently awaiting their turn at a meal just up the road. The meal site was currently taken over by the more aggressive Black vultures.

For those who do not understand Vultures, this is your PSA for the week. Please read the following.

Turkey vultures (Cathartes aura) are large scavenging birds found throughout the Americas, known for their keen sense of smell and distinctive bald red heads. Turkey vultures are characterized by their dark plumage, bald red heads (which are black in immature birds), and a wingspan of about 6 feet (1.8 meters). They typically measure around 27 inches (75 cm) in length. Their featherless heads help keep them clean while feeding on carrion, as it prevents bits of decaying flesh from sticking to their feathers

Black vultures (Coragyps atratus) have sooty black plumage, a bare grayish-black head and neck, and a short, hooked beak adapted for scavenging.
They have a wingspan of 4.5 to 5 feet (1.5–1.67 m) and a compact body with broad wings and a short tail, giving them a distinctive silhouette in flight. Unlike turkey vultures, black vultures rely more on sight than smell to locate food. Often, they will spot a wake of Turkey vultures and move in to feast, chasing the Turkeys away.
