From an email I sent earlier today:
For those who don't know, I grew up in the Midwest and went to college in Minnesota. Most of my college friends still live in the Twin Cities. Last summer, my own family took a road trip for my reunion and I got to show my kids around for the first time. I reconnected with college friends, some of whom I hadn't seen in over a decade. It was incredibly meaningful for me to be back in my adopted home state.
And so now, here I am, sitting safe at home in New Jersey, watching with horror at what is happening back home.
Because my heart is in Minnesota this month, and because I want to help in any way that I can, I am going to donate 100% of the profits from any print order placed from now until the end of February to the Immigrant Defense Network (IDN). IDN is a network of over 90 immigrant, labor, legal, faith, and community organizations dedicated to protecting and advancing the constitutional rights of immigrant communities across Minnesota. It is a project of the COPAL Education Fund, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Print orders can be made through the links in your galleries. If anyone needs me to reopen any old galleries, I am more than happy to do so. Print orders will be placed all at once, at the end of February, so you will not receive them until March. If you would like to help Minnesotans, but don't need or want to place a print order, I am also happy to share resources.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
