This summer has been one of the heaviest seasons our family has ever walked through. I would never call it a bad summer because there have also been some incredibly beautiful blessings, but it has certainly been a hard one.
Unexpected family circumstances have meant countless trips back and forth to Chicago, long days, difficult moments, and doing everything we can to support someone we love. It has felt like every time we begin to catch our breath, something else happens. We’ve continued to show up wherever we’re needed, but if I’m being honest, this season has taken a lot out of all of us.
After being asked several times, I’ve decided it’s finally time to come out of retirement and pick up my camera again this fall. With Grace no longer playing softball, I finally have more room in my schedule, and the timing feels right.
Photography has always been something I truly love. It gives me the chance to capture the genuine smiles, connections, and little moments families never want to forget. Coming back will also help support my own family while allowing us to continue helping the people we love through this difficult season.
My 2026 session rate will be $200. I haven’t raised my prices since 2021, and while I’ve tried to hold off as long as possible, it’s time to adjust with the rising cost of everything while still keeping my sessions affordable for families in the Morris and Grundy County area.
To celebrate coming back, the first two people who book and pay their deposit will receive my previous session rate of $175. After those two spots are filled, my regular $200 session rate will apply.
If you’ve been thinking about updating your family pictures, scheduling senior photos, capturing your pregnancy, or simply preserving the season of life you’re in right now, I would love to be the one behind the camera.
I’m nervous, excited, and so ready to begin again. Sometimes returning to something you love is exactly what your heart needs. 🤎📸
