Carter looks so angelic, right? You wouldn't know it but she was not a fan of her modeling debut. I'm sure she was counting down the seconds until she could leave and go home.

Being wrapped was the only way little Miss Carter was happy today. But oh well. We still got some cute images that Mom will love.

Newborn sessions are always unpredictable and they run the show. Just have to pivot and go with their flow.

So many favorites from this session but I managed to narrow it down to my absolute favorites. This session was a dream. Location was perfect. Weather was amazing. Outfits were perfectly styled and coordinated. The Kienol family is always an absolute joy to photograph. I feel so grateful that they keep coming back to me to capture these special moments for them.

Sometimes people come into your life at the perfect time. I don't know how I would have made it through this year if it wasn't for them. So when Thomas called me and asked if I could do a last minute session at a spot that is special to them, I happily agreed.

The other day I found some of my older work from when I first started and thought “wow, I really have grown as an artist”. I don’t ever call myself an artist because I’ve never felt like I was. I can verify that imposter syndrome is very real. I always joke that I can’t even draw a decent stick figure.

But this is my art. This is what lights my soul on fire.

I try to approach photography with what I would want as a client and what I would love to hang on my walls. I started photography with the intention of just being able to take better photos of my kids but being able to provide this for other people is the icing on the cake.
