I wanted to share these photos from my homework because they carry a lot of meaning. These old buildings remind us of the past and how things shift over time. One photo shows a once grand structure with tall white columns, now peeling and weathered, a reflection of how even strong foundations eventually fade. Another photo captures a brick industrial building with its water tower, a reminder of industry and community life that once thrived here but has slowly quieted down.

For me, these places also connect to our Deaf community. They remind me of the generations before us, the people who built and shaped spaces we now walk past. Many of them are gone, and the world has changed, but their presence lingers. The colors and tones in the photos feel muted, almost nostalgic, which adds to that sense of memory and loss but also resilience. These pictures show how time changes everything, but also how history leaves traces we can still see and feel.
