More awesome summer grads in your feed today. This one gives me all the feels.

Avalynn is my dear cousin Errin's daughter. Errin Kalvelage and I grew up together, and it just so happens we both had kids around the same time. Fun enough, Avie and my daughter Edith are SO much alike. Spending a couple of hours with her basically felt like hanging out with my own kid. Avie is whip smart, loves bugs (like, knows their Latin names, loves them), and is probably a decade away from taking over the world. She's also an avid reader, so naturally we had to work a bunch of books into her photos.

Liam is another one I've known his whole life. He's the son of my good friends, and it's genuinely hard for me to look at him and not think, "wait, isn't he like 4?" He is very much not 4 anymore. Full-on almost-adult, and pretty sure he's cooler than anyone I know. I photographed Liam down in the Twin Cities this summer, and he did a great job scouting some seriously cool locations for his session.

Pumpkin spice. Baby ghosts. That whiff of dry, crunchy leaves. Yep, it's time for Alicia Hauff Studio's Autumn Art Collection.

I always love seeing where she goes next in her painting adventures, and this collection focuses on pollinators: native bees, butterflies, moths, even hummingbirds. It's a colorful, lively set this time around, but still so very Alicia.

For the promo images, we headed outdoors to catch the last of the summer blooms and hopefully a pollinator or two in action. Things have gotten a little crunchy out there, so the flowers weren't quite as magnificent as they were a few weeks back, but the pollinators were still hard at work.

Most years I photograph a handful of grads, four or five, and that always feels like a good number. This year's class of 2027 kept me busier than usual, so instead of one post per senior, I've decided to break it up into a few batches.

First up, meet Pierce and Sawyer.

I met Pierce's parents before he was even born, so I've had the pleasure of photographing this kid his entire life. Watching him grow into the young man he is today has been one of my favorite parts of this job. He's all about basketball, but it turns out he cleans up pretty well in a suit too.

Sawyer is another one I've watched grow up behind the camera. She might be the sweetest human I know, gracious, kind, and about as well rounded as they come. She also happens to love being in front of the camera, which makes my job easy.

This was my 3rd year photographing Harvest in Bloom for Hope Blooms , and I've seen this event in every kind of North Dakota weather. This year, well, mother nature gave us the good stuff. Perfect temps, an iconic sunset, and a crowd that showed up generous as ever.

This amazing event is held at the farm of Steve and Sharon Lynn Miller , and weather aside, it's always the people and the mission that make this one of my favorite nights on the calendar. So much joy in one place, all for a really good cause. I'm grateful to be able to capture it!

It's senior season, and this year I've been photographing SO MANY familiar faces, including this badass beauty.

Hazel is a Moohread Spanish Immersion alum (along with my daughter), an amazing athlete, and an all-around awesome human. It's been fun to watch her grow up, and I can't WAIT to see what's next!
