Newborn nails grow fast and are surprisingly sharp, and because babies don’t yet have control over their movements, they can easily scratch their face, eyes, or even you. Keeping nails trimmed (or filed) reduces the risk of skin infections from scratches and keeps them more comfortable during feeds and play.

The secret isn’t the perfect sticker chart or magic 3-day method — it’s starting when your child’s brain can actually connect the “I have to go” signal to the action of getting there in time. Signs like staying dry for 2+ hours, hiding to p**p, or showing interest in the toilet mean their bladder and bowel control (and brain-to-body communication) are kicking in.

When you match your approach to their developmental readiness, potty training becomes a skill they master — not a battle you fight.

“Breastfeeding isn’t just milk — it’s real-time, custom nutrition.”

Your body actually changes the composition of your milk from feeding to feeding, even minute to minute. In the beginning of a feed, the milk is more watery to quench thirst; toward the end, it’s richer in fat for satiety and growth.
