*Love & Lifestyle Sessions*
Ten years ago, Jon and I decided for Valentines day that in lieu of a dinner date, we would have a “love feast”. Our thoughts were to create a special candlelit night just with our little family. This “love feast” has become one of our most anticipated nights of the year. We eat together under the glow of candlelight. Each seat is set with love notes and flowers. We eat our favorite foods and share, in turn around the table, why we love each other. It is one of those “thin places” for us. A place where heaven and earth are close and we see an intimate picture of what our love for each other has built… It is so meaningful…The moment seems to stretch on, transcending time…a moment…captured…sacred…holy…completely ours to have…forever...
This year my hope is to offer a chance for you all to be able to experience a gift like this. The gift of creating space for a transcendent moment. The only way I know how to extend this gift is to offer mine. So this Valentine’s day, I wanted to offer up mini sessions. I understand the desire for a few of those smiley photos with cute red and pink backgrounds just as much as anyone. (I have all the heart eyes for it!) However, being true to my own heart I thought about what does love truly look like? What does it look like to me? My favorite kind of love is to capture the beauty in the “ordinary” and the miracle of the “mundane." So this year I am offering a special Love and Lifestyle Session opportunity for the rest of February and March. These sessions will be an opportunity for me to capture the love inside of your home. So that love can be memorialized…cultivated…and shared.
There is something comforting about being home. Home is a place where all our toys are, our books, our favorite snacks, and our absolute favorite people are. We giggle, play, snuggle, and cry at home. This is one of my favorite places to capture love and life. The middle of an ordinary day, an ordinary meal, and an ordinary life is an extraordinary gift of love. It’s always these photos from our home when my kids were little that pull at my heart strings in all of those sacred ways.
So, during this slower season of gloomy, cold, and dreary days, I would love to offer a sale on lifestyle sessions. It’s the perfect season to snuggle up, play together, and let me capture your family in your most sacred, cozy space… home!
