Somewhere in Her Thoughts - There’s a quiet mystery in her gaze—as though, for just a moment, she has drifted somewhere far beyond the horizon. Is she remembering something, dreaming about what comes next, or simply lost in a thought she’d rather keep to herself?

Meet Theo and part of his family. While in Utah, I had the opportunity to photograph the Onaqui wild horses and had the great fortune to meet Britta ∙ Being Herd. She studies and specializes in understanding horses and herd behavior. Britta knows a lot about these horses, and I asked if she could share some history about Theo and his band. Thank you, Britta, and here is what she had to say:
"Theo is a seven-year-old bay roan stallion from the Onaqui Mountains, born in 2019 to Ripley and band stallion Reece. He stayed with his family until about three and a half, then spent some time as a bachelor until, in the summer of 2024, everything changed for him: the young mare Oakley chose him, and Theo became a band stallion. What makes Theo special isn't his size or beauty, but how calm and kind he is. He's patient, protective of his family, and gives his mares and foals plenty of space. He also prefers to stay away from the crowd, so you'll usually find him roaming the range with his band – now 13 members, an unusually large family for a stallion his age."

Born to Run - Across the wide-open spaces, .fowers and her mare fly across the salt flats. With the wind at their backs and nothing but open country ahead, it’s a moment of pure freedom—the kind that can only be found from the back of a good horse.

Independence is a legacy built on courage, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of freedom.

It represents the strength, resilience, and unwavering determination that define our nation. Today, we honor those who fought and sacrificed for the freedoms we cherish, and we recognize those who continue to serve and defend our nation with courage and dedication.

As we celebrate, may we pause in gratitude and reflect on the blessings of liberty and the sacrifices made to preserve it. 🇺🇸

An osprey glides just inches above the water, every movement precise, powerful, and purposeful. There’s something mesmerizing about watching these incredible birds in action—their focus, grace, and raw instinct all coming together in a single moment. A fleeting second, frozen in perfect balance between air and water.

As the sun slipped below the horizon, the desert came alive with color — glowing gold, deep amber, and the last traces of fading light stretching across the sky.

There’s something timeless about the silence of the desert at sunset. The heat softens, the wind settles, and for a few brief moments, the world feels still. A reminder that even the harshest landscapes can hold incredible beauty.

Springtime renewal! One stands apart—small, but strong.
While the others gather in the safety of togetherness, this gosling pauses on its own… already testing the space between comfort and courage.

A quiet moment along Spain’s northern coast, just before sunset. For a brief breath in time, the sun slipped through the clouds, setting the sky ablaze in gold and casting a soft, luminous glow across the water and stone. The sea stacks stood timeless against the light—weathered, unmoving—while everything around them shifted and shimmered. A reminder that even the smallest break in the clouds can transform the entire world.
