I stumbled onto photographing women in 2012 when I had a new client ask me to do bo***ir images. She wanted to show her boyfriend how beautiful he made her feel after being a mom for 15+ years. A friend booked a bo***ir shoot after seeing those pictures. I realized that this niche should be explored so I thought about doing a party-style setup with a hair and makeup artist, wardrobe, and a mini-session with me. It was a hit....but still pretty quiet because others thought they were, um, naughty.
Over 600 women later, bo***ir is much more normalized, and I have photographed young blushing brides to kickass great-grandmas! There are clients who are so scared that they are shaking their lattes into frappes, and I get to help ladies of every size and shape to pose best for their bodies. I have had women of many faiths in front of my camera and I'm honored any time a woman chooses me as her photographer. They are trusting me to help them through a *vulnerable experience* on the way to seeing themselves in a *kinder, hopefully more confident new light*.
So when I am given the opportunity to share images or video, I'm incredibly thankful because I know that she is going to inspire another woman to step up and , as Samantha Brown says. ❤️❤️❤️
