It wasn’t because I thought that I was the most photogenic person in the world. It was because I knew that I wasn’t. That didn’t stop me, however, from trying to take the perfect picture, and that love for taking and being in pictures has never left me. I started this business initially because of my sons. The oldest was a High School senior at the time. Well, imagine my surprise when I found out
just how much senior pictures went up since 1991. That's when I decided to turn my hobby into a business. Although the senior pictures' prices were my initial reason for starting this business, I started thinking that maybe there are other parents out there that think the way that I do. Marketta Spinks Photography caters to that mom and/or dad, who has a child graduating from high school and a modest budget; the bride and groom that wants to capture their special day without going into the marriage in debt; even that single mother or father who just wants to get a family portrait that is affordable and can be done on her/his terms, in a location that suits her/his needs.
