It’s the last of the Nelson kids! 🥹

After 10 years of senior photos for this family, I’ll admit… I’m a little sad we’ve reached the end! But we definitely went out on a good one!

I had such a fun evening exploring downtown St. Joe with Will before heading back to their home on Big Fish Lake to wrap things up with with some fun on the boat. And I’ll never complain about ending a senior session on the water!

Surprise! Anther Pflipsen kid is graduating this year! Claire switched to online school last year and is working hard to finish high school the same year as her big brother. She’s eager to check high school off her list and start a career in cosmetology. I’m not sure we can handle all of our nieces and nephews growing up this fast but it sure is fun spending an evening one on one with them during their senior photos! Of course Claire’s session included lots of clothes and outfit changes along with a stop at Starbucks. We laughed, we laughed some more, and photographed until there was literally no light left. Claire - thanks for being you! We ❤️ you!!

Welp… another one of “our kiddos” is officially a senior and I’m not sure how that’s possible! Caiden has had farming running through his blood since before he was one! He went from playing farm with his little John Deere farm toys and 'farm yard' that covered the entire living room as a kid to living his dream driving the real things! We made sure to include a few in his photos! Caiden, thanks for putting up with us for all these photos (and the many photo sessions over the years)! Amanda and I are so proud of you!

Amanda and I spent an evening last week with the Sand Family at their beautiful home on Big Fish Lake in Cold Spring. This extended family session was long overdue and most of this family traveled in from all over the midwest to make it happen! We didn't let the smoky skies or the extremely steamy weather stop us from having a ton of fun with this crew! Thanks Sand Family for all of the fun and for trusting us with these memories!

I think 2026 is going to be the year of boys and their boats! We have a full schedule of senior guy sessions this year and almost all of them just so happen to be on the bass team! We kicked things off with Thomas last week. It was a perfect MN summer evening, full of fun, and we ended at a place we both happen to love — at the lake. Thanks for the fun Thomas!

(And special shout out to Thomas’s dad, Mark, for being the boat captain in the choppy water. You get an A+ for navigation and for ducking down just in time for me to get the shot!)
