I haven't been behind my camera in months.

I stopped pursuing photography full time because it became something I started to dread, and started to feel more like a chore. The marketing, the constant posts, the website upkeep, client correspondence, etc., etc. I acknowledge that all of that is just part of running your own business, but it sucked the fun out of it.

Couple that with the fact that right now the world feels heavy. People are more focused on keeping it all together, when it seems like everything could fall apart at any moment. Nobody is worried about updated family photos when they don't know if their next paycheck is even going to cover their bills.

But an old friend allowed me to shoot her family again, and a new friend recently told me she loved my work and reminded me that I was good at what I do.

I don't need photography to survive in a financial sense; I need photography because I like bringing joy to people's lives. I live for the "ohmygod I love them!!" texts when a client sees their gallery for the first time. That's why I started capturing families in the first place, and that's what I want to get back to!

SO! I am going to start offering family shoots again, but at a heavily reduced rate by industry standards- $100 flat to cover lightroom subscription, gas, and time; and by referral only; I'm not spending time or money on ads or a website, and I'm not going to post every single day offering shoots and asking for clients. Clients will come or they won't. What matters more is delivering beautiful photos that bring joy and warmth to the clients that DO choose me.

❤️‍🔥 Special Announcement ❣️

When I first picked up my camera, I fell in love with the quiet moments; the laughter between siblings, the warmth of a hug, the kind of love that speaks without words. Family photography gave me that. It gave me connection, purpose, and the incredible honor of preserving memories that people hold close for a lifetime.

But over time, something began to shift. I found myself moved by the energy of a room; the way people come together, the emotions shared in real time, the moments that only happen once. Photographing community events, fundraisers, and celebrations reminded me why I started this journey in the first place: to tell stories that matter.

So, with a full heart, I’m stepping into a new direction -

💃 Event photography! 📸

From galas to community gatherings, political fundraisers to local celebrations, I want to capture the heartbeat of every event, the people, the passion, and the purpose behind it all.

While my focus is shifting, I’ll still be offering minimal family sessions to those I know personally, because those connections mean the world to me, and I’ll always make space for the people who’ve been part of my journey.

And to all the families who’ve trusted me to tell your stories, thank you. You’ve shaped me into the photographer I am today. To those inviting me into this next chapter, I can’t wait to capture your moments with the same care, authenticity, and heart!!

Last night, I had the incredible honor and privilege of photographing my very first Honor Flight homecoming, capturing veterans as they returned from DC, where they were celebrated for their service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

One of the most powerful moments for me was seeing my friend, Matthew Fascaldi, a fellow veteran and current candidate for County Legislator in New Windsor, serving as a guardian for one of the heroes on this flight. We stood together as veterans, and recounted how so many others never received a welcome home like the one we experienced last night. He began to tear up, and in that moment, I was reminded why compassion, character, and service in all forms, matters so deeply within leadership roles.

Welcome Home, ladies and gentlemen. ❤️

✨ What an unforgettable night! ✨

When Zak Constantine, President of the Orange County, NY Democrats called me last Monday to photograph the Seeds of Progress Gala, I was deeply honored. AND HOLY COW, what an evening to remember! The energy in the room was electric; filled with hope, passion, laughter, and a genuine sense of purpose. Every conversation, every hug, every speech carried the heartbeat of change and the power of community.

Being trusted to capture such a meaningful event was not only incredibly humbling, but also deeply affirming. It reminded me that I do this to tell stories that matter, through moments that move people. Combining two of my passions, Politics and Photography, was a dream come true, and hopefully the start of many more realized dreams to come.
