The worst part about dogs isn’t the chewed shoes, throwing up God knows what on the carpet, or the 3am MUST P*E breaks.
..it's the goodbye. 💔

Last week, it was time for Rocket’s family to say goodbye after only a few short years and a devastating cancer diagnosis.

I was honored to photograph all the little things that someday won’t feel little at all...his fuzzy paws, his wet nose, his copper-colored curls...the way he looked at his people and the way their hands rested on him.

Rest easy, Rocket. You were clearly one very, very loved goodest boy. ❤️

About 4 years ago, I did a 'just for funsies' session with this VERY dignified gentleman in my garage with the only light source being the daylight coming in the open door. 📷

I could never come up with an editing recipe that I initially envisioned for these and so over the years, I revisited randomly and remained disappointed every time. 😭

Finally...finally, I got it! Prepare to be spammed with a few days of Oswald...I'm obsessed with them! 😍

Mom and I bonded over how we spend all this time creating these babies and then they come out looking nothing like us… the audacity!💀

I met Jayden for the first time at this session (he's basically a giant, y'all! I should have brought a step ladder. 🤯), even though I’ve watched him grow up through Facebook over the years. Within minutes, he bent down and started eating wild blackberries off the side of the road like he grew up deep in the Appalachian mountains and honestly, I immediately understood his whole personality. 😂

He’s got such a grounded, easygoing spirit about him, and after spending this little bit of time with him, I already know he’s going to go far in life. I can’t wait to watch all the amazing things he does and all the success that’s ahead for him. 🔥🎓

Some seniors are nervous in front of the camera… and then some just show up and absolutely EAT. 🔥

Jayden had me struggling trying to narrow these down because honestly every single shot was a winner. The camera loves this kid for real. 🙌

Watching them grow up year after year and then getting to capture their Senior photos is one of the coolest and most special things for me. It fills my heart with so much pride and happiness every single time. 🫶
