Squishy Squid Photography will be rebranding!☀️
For the past little while, I’ve been quietly praying, dreaming, and asking God what I wanted this business to become. As you may have noticed I have been inactive at times, as I have become discouraged with this dream. I am no longer discouraged and I am confident with god by my side, I will continue with my dream.
When I first started Squishy Squid Photography, I chose a name that made me smile. It got me started, and I’ll always be grateful for what it represents—the beginning of a dream that once felt so far away.
But as I’ve grown, I’ve realized my business has grown with me.
I don’t just want to take beautiful pictures. I want to preserve the moments that become part of your family’s story—the quiet glances, the happy tears, the laughter, the milestones, and the love that God has so graciously woven into our lives.
That’s why I’m so excited to share that Squishy Squid Photography is becoming Written in Light Photography.
To me, this name is so much more than photography. Light has always reminded me of Christ. He meets us in our brightest celebrations and our darkest valleys. Every photograph is a reminder that even the smallest moments are gifts worth remembering.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5
The name Written in Light also reminds me that our stories are never random. God is the author of every chapter, and I feel so honored to capture tiny pieces of those stories through my camera.
Thank you to every single person who has trusted me, encouraged me, shared my work, or believed in me before I fully believed in myself. You have helped turn a simple dream into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.
As I step into this new chapter, my prayer is simple: that every person who stands in front of my camera feels seen, loved, and valued, and that this business always reflects the Light that inspires its name.
“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” — John 1:4
Welcome to Written in Light Photography. 🤍
