Happy New Year! 2026 is starting off with some exciting news. I have been keeping a little secret.

The last several weeks I've partnered with a company who works with artists and photographers to help them sell their art. Doing all of the shows the past two months were not the best way to show and sell my work. I had many admirers but then they wouldn't purchase. So I had a decision to make.

I thought about Etsy or Shopify but they were not easy to set up, had so many fees and it wasn't branded for me. So I had a complete website built. I'm partnered with a pro lab that will print and ship the orders around the world.

The more I travel, the more I'll add to the site. As many of you know, travel is a passion of mine as is photography. Sharing my love of the world and the people and places I love is so exciting.

Today is Transgender day of Remembrance. And today is the perfect day to announce our HUGE news. Twenty Portraits of Trans Joy is going to be made into a documentary! One of my participants is a producer and had discussed this with me back in June. After a few discussions we decided to roll with it. Now more than ever being an ally to the community and getting visibility out there is so important to me. We are in the beginning stage of putting together our team and official filming will begin late January.

If anyone would like to be involved with this project feel free to DM me. We need all the things sound, editing, lighting and filming. Since I'll likely be behind the scenes as DP and on camera doing interview I'm hands off for the rest, but excited to bring the stories to life.

The goal of this project is 2-fold.
Obviously we want the visibility for the community, but I'm applying for grants to get the exhibit to travel across the country and having a beautiful documentary will definitely help solidify that money we need. And if we can submit to film festivals, you never know where it can go.

Business Branding. I know you hear that description often, but what does it mean?

I know I'm known for my glitzy mitzvahs and head shots , but actually branding sessions are what I do almost as often in my business. Most of my clients are medical practices, dental offices, small law firms and psychologists and coaches.

Business branding is creating a group of images that are specifically curated for your website and/or social media. Every client has different needs so I begin with a consultation to understand exactly the variety of photos needed. We discuss aesthetic, attire, colors and size and shapes of the images so we can be sure they're presented on their website in the format that's needed. Many times I'm called to take head shots or team portraits, facility room photos and product photos. This helps my clients have their website as personalized as possible so they don't need to use stock imagery.

I tend to not share the images much at all and I'm not sure why. I guess room photos and product photos aren't super fancy, but when planned appropriately they really make their business aesthetic pop.

Here's an example that I shot recently for Nova Wellness in Roseland. Dr. Chris and Dr. Jennifer are two incredible human beings who really worked hard to open this impressive integrated medicine facility. They recognize that so many people aren't getting the care they need the traditional way and have state of the art technology to help their patients live longer and healthier lives. I was truly impressed and honestly excited for them because they're such lovely people and live and raise their daughters exactly how they practice medicine. There's no plastic water bottles in their home and they're always researching the latest and cutting edge way to treat so many common ailments in a personalized plan. I urge you to check them out if this kind of care is something you seek. We just delivered their images to them and I can't wait to see how they use them on their new website.
