This is for all of the single mothers who are struggling to do it all on their own…
The ones who are forced to pour from an empty cup, every single day, and don’t have a choice in the matter…
For the widows, the divorced, or the ones who question why they were left behind…
To the single mums who are tired of being seen as a half or incomplete:
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL exactly WHO are WHERE you already are!
When Jesus visited the Woman at the Well, He didn’t give her an impossible list of changes she needed to make, tell her she needed to get married again, or weigh her down with a stack of self-help books that she was never going to realistically have the time to read anyway.
He acknowledged the trauma of what she had already walked through,
He saw the unquenchable thirst deep in her repetitively broken heart,
And He simply offered her the Living Water that ONLY He could provide!
The art of Kintsugi is taking what once was broken, and fusing it back together with gold dust, to create a living illustration of beauty through brokenness…not “in spite of” or “after” the shattered pieces have been changed…but embracing each crack as a masterpiece.
Rejoined with intention.
Beautifully broken.
Reclaimed in restoration.
So Happy Mother’s Day to each of the beautiful moms who might not have been acknowledged with roses or accolades when you awoke early and exhausted this morning, hanging on by a mental thread and your third cup of coffee…
I see you, and your Heavenly Father adores you just the way you are; broken, but never beyond repair.
“He takes our broken pieces and makes us new—
more beautiful than before.”
-Isaiah 64:8
