A wedding on a family property brings so much story.

I was invited to spend a morning with Kotryna & John and their two pups, June & Seymour, at their home last week.

Kotryna first reached out because she wanted some photos of them and their dogs to remember this special time — their first summer in their home in Maine.

I joined them on their morning walk and back at home while they made breakfast and made their loop around the neighborhood.

It was loooovely and exactly why I offer my 3 hour session. No pressure to move quickly or do anything for the camera, just a time to simply be.

“We both want to feel warm, loved, special, and connected with our loved ones (and each other).”

Andrea & Frank got married this past weekend! At the beginning of their relationship, they spent their weekends in MDI with their late pup Susan, so it was especially meaningful for them to celebrate in Southwest Harbor.

It was a beautiful day for a couple of real fun, sweet souls and their people. Friends created the florals, played music, and helped coordinate throughout the day.

It’s always fun to see the people closest to a couple share their talents and passions on their wedding day! It brings such an intimate and special feeling to a celebration.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Oh my goodness, Sienna just GETS IT. It can be so hard to explain the kind of images you’re wanting from an event, but Sienna nailed it completely and thoughtfully. She ensured that by having multiple talks with us and providing questionnaires about our special day and location. She is incredibly kind and caring, my husband and I could not be more grateful. Our family adored her, she blended in seamlessly to our small dinner party and got the images we could only dream of. Not only did she handle 10 people, ages ranging from 5 months to 83 years, to get our updated family portraits, but she captured the sweetest detail shots of a home that’s been in the family for generations. When we got our previews back, all we could say was “Sienna just gets it.”. We loved working with Sienna!!”

Stephanie & Aiden last weekend with the people they love in a city they love.

It’s such a joy to chat with couples a year+ before their wedding and then get to the day and see their vision come to life, put names to faces, and see them celebrate life.

Stephanie & Aiden’s friends and family’s talents were intermingled in their day from hair and makeup, to florals, to playing music for their ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful!

Nowhere to be for a full weekend and they could all enjoy each other’s company uninterrupted. They created a celebration all about presence with their people in a beautiful place. It was looovely!

From our first call, I could feel the sweetness of the life Olivia & Luke have created together and the love they have for the people who surround them. They wanted life documented on their day and it was such an honor to be trusted to see!

This past weekend, Lindsey & Patrick (aka Dick Ni***es and Tractor Beam!) got married on the trail where they first met, surrounded by their people.

It was such a fun and creative celebration rooted in the life they’ve already built and the people (& pup) who make it groovy.

Lindsey made her own dress (!!), friends and family helped cook and decorate back at their Airbnb. A good friend created a photo booth, others played live music, and another DJed. Beauty all around. Excited to share just a few images from their day!
