I’ve started and restarted this post a dozen different times.
Every version either sounded like too much or like I was pretending everything was fine.
The truth is somewhere in the middle.🐞
This season has been one of the fullest seasons of my life and I mean that in every sense of the word. 😳
My calendar is full. My home is full… of moving boxes slowly becoming rooms. My camera cards are full of your memories. But mostly, my heart is full of gratitude. 🤎
And if I’m being completely honest…
I’m a little full, too. 🌙
Over the last few months I’ve found myself thinking a lot about why I started Folklore in the first place. It was never about photographing as many sessions as I possibly could. It was always about telling stories that felt honest. Creating work that felt cinematic. Building a life I didn’t feel the need to escape from. And moving away from managing other businesses social media.
Lately I’ve been craving slower mornings. More evenings at home. More time to sit on my porch with a cup of coffee. More dinners around our table. More walks through our new neighborhood. More moments where I’m living my own story instead of always documenting someone else’s. A change of pace. 🌞
I think that’s okay.
So with that… I wanted to let you know that my 2026 calendar is officially closed.
To everyone who has booked with me this year I want to say a huge heartfelt thank you. I cannot wait to tell your story. To everyone who has reached out recently and found out I’m full, thank you for thinking of me. It truly means more than I can explain. 🌿
I still love this work with my whole heart.
I’m still photographing families, weddings, newborns, and all the beautiful in-between moments.
I’m simply learning that saying “yes” to the work I love sometimes means saying “no” before there’s nothing left to give. 🍄
Thank you for continuing to trust me with your biggest moments. Thank you for allowing Folklore Photo Co. to grow into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.
I can’t wait to see what’s still to come. 🌝
