And you feel like… apple pie baked just right. 🍎 🥧 ♥️

Every single time I get to capture another milestone of this family I thank my lucky stars, because their love for each other is so evident I feel it through my lens 😭✨

It’s been a little quiet here, but there’s still been so much life on the other side of the camera. 🤎

I finished editing this family’s gallery today and wanted to share a little of it with you.

As I ease back into sharing here, I want to make a little more room for those little and big pieces of your lore. The closeness, the movement, the small things you might not realize you’ll miss when you think back on this time of the year.

It feels like a good place to begin again. 🍄🌞

I’ve started and restarted this post a dozen different times.

Every version either sounded like too much or like I was pretending everything was fine.

The truth is somewhere in the middle.🐞

This season has been one of the fullest seasons of my life and I mean that in every sense of the word. 😳

My calendar is full. My home is full… of moving boxes slowly becoming rooms. My camera cards are full of your memories. But mostly, my heart is full of gratitude. 🤎

And if I’m being completely honest…

I’m a little full, too. 🌙

Over the last few months I’ve found myself thinking a lot about why I started Folklore in the first place. It was never about photographing as many sessions as I possibly could. It was always about telling stories that felt honest. Creating work that felt cinematic. Building a life I didn’t feel the need to escape from. And moving away from managing other businesses social media.

Lately I’ve been craving slower mornings. More evenings at home. More time to sit on my porch with a cup of coffee. More dinners around our table. More walks through our new neighborhood. More moments where I’m living my own story instead of always documenting someone else’s. A change of pace. 🌞

I think that’s okay.

So with that… I wanted to let you know that my 2026 calendar is officially closed.

To everyone who has booked with me this year I want to say a huge heartfelt thank you. I cannot wait to tell your story. To everyone who has reached out recently and found out I’m full, thank you for thinking of me. It truly means more than I can explain. 🌿

I still love this work with my whole heart.

I’m still photographing families, weddings, newborns, and all the beautiful in-between moments.

I’m simply learning that saying “yes” to the work I love sometimes means saying “no” before there’s nothing left to give. 🍄

Thank you for continuing to trust me with your biggest moments. Thank you for allowing Folklore Photo Co. to grow into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

I can’t wait to see what’s still to come. 🌝

Here’s to finishing this year well… and to whatever beautiful stories 2027 has waiting for us. 🤍

When it’s not about performing but about feeling your own natural chemistry. 🤎
When you show up for your person and your whole self your photos reflect the true devotion and love of your relationship ✨

As I am being forced to relax and recover from surgery this week I am daydreaming about all my weddings this year. 🥹

I cannot wait to document your new chapters. As for other folklore June, July and August are opening for bookings 📚 🖤

Dear parents ✨

Never apologize for protecting your baby’s online presence. Your family’s comfort, boundaries and safety are more important than my content every single time. 🤎🤎

Loved capturing this sweet family celebrating 6 months of loving their little girl. 😭
