Sutton is TWO!! 🌸

I got to spend another evening with this sweet family at Gust Brothers in Ottawa Lake, and I am SO excited to finally share some of these photos!!

We celebrated Sutton's second birthday, but we also got to update their family photos, and I honestly don't know which ones I love more! I had such a hard time narrowing down which photos to share from this gallery. 😂

This session was actually a pretty special one for me. I photographed mom and dad's engagement photos YEARS ago, back when I was still pretty new to photography! To have them come back all these years later, now with a family of their own, genuinely means more to me than they probably realize. It's kind of crazy to think about how much life has changed since I first had them in front of my camera!

Thank you guys so much for coming back to see me after all these years. I absolutely loved getting to catch up with you! 🤍

Malek 🎸

Another one of my creek minis, but this time we switched things up a little with some senior portraits!

One of my favorite things about photographing seniors is getting to know a little bit about who they are outside of school. I was so excited when he brought his guitar along! We had some fun working it into his photos, and I love how much personality it added to his gallery. I think senior pictures are so much more meaningful when they actually feel like the person in them.

And I don't think we could have asked for a prettier evening! I've photographed at this creek more times than I can count, but I swear I still get just as excited every time we get a sunset like this. The way the light was hitting the water that evening was incredible!

It's funny because I've been bringing families to this same little creek for years, and somehow I never get tired of photographing here. Every session is a little different, and I think that's part of why I love it so much. 🤎

I don't think I could have asked for a more perfect evening for creek minis! 🥹

A few weeks ago, this sweet family came out for creek minis and I still can't believe how many AMAZING images we captured in such a short amount of time!! Their boys were the absolute cutest, and we had SO much fun together! It's always so much fun to end the session with some splashing!

This is exactly why I love creek sessions so much. There's just something about letting kids be kids. Capturing all those genuine smiles, laughter, big hugs, and every moment in between is what I try to get during every session I shoot. Couldn't have asked for a prettier golden hour either 🥹🤍

One year ago today, Jess & Mike eloped in the beautiful caves of Hocking Hills. 🤍

This gallery has been one of my all-time favorites since the moment I finished it, but somehow, I never got around to sharing it.

I kept waiting for the "perfect" time. Checking the algorithm to figure out when the most people might see their photos, debating whether to share all of my favorites at once or spread them across several posts, overthinking every little detail... and before I knew it, an entire year had passed.

If there's one thing I hate about being a business owner in the age of social media, it's feeling like you have to play a game just to get your work seen. A game I admittedly lose at more often than I'd like. 😂 Sometimes I get so caught up in figuring out the best way to share something that I forget to just SHARE IT.

But what better time to finally share my favorites from this beautiful day than on their very first anniversary?

The most GORGEOUS maternity session with the sweetest family 🥹🤍

After several reschedules, we finally got the perfect evening for their maternity session! We were cutting it pretty close to baby's arrival, but I think it was well worth the wait for that beautiful sunset. 🥹

These two little girls are SO excited to welcome their newest sibling, and I think it's safe to say mom and dad are just as excited!

One of my favorite things about this job is getting to meet new people, especially when it feels like we all just *click* right off the bat. Dad hopped out of the car and immediately yelled, "Ayeee Ashleeeeeey!" as if we'd known each other for years, and I knew right then we were in for such a fun session! And it truly was, we were all giggling the entire evening!

This family is just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside, and mom was absolutely GLOWING. Between her beautiful baby bump, their infectious energy, and that dreamy golden light, I couldn't have asked for a better evening with them. 🤍

Delaney 🤍

The beautiful gardens were the perfect backdrop for her floral dress, and we couldn't have asked for prettier golden hour light. Delaney was such a natural in front of the camera! She made my job SO easy. the hardest part was choosing my favorites to share! And can we take a moment to appreciate those gorgeous eyes?!

This one was extra special. 🤍

Getting to photograph a good friend is always fun, but getting to photograph a fellow photographer whose newborn work I’ve admired for years made it even sweeter. We laughed our way through this entire session, chased a very busy little boy through the flowers, and yes, eventually brought out the trusty bribery sucker 😂

After having to reschedule, we ended up with the most beautiful sunset and honestly, it could not have worked out better. So many sweet little moments from this night 🥹🤍
