IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT
For my Dock Diving folks! Splash Town
Quick note before I dive in: if you already pre-ordered or Requested a gallery, you're all set — you can skip the rest of this. This one's for everyone else.
I want to be honest about something, because it explains a change I'm making.
When you see me at the pool with the camera up, that's maybe a tenth of the actual job. The part nobody sees is everything that comes after. I haul home thousands of images from a single weekend — over 12,000 this past one — and then I organize them dog by dog, edit every keeper by hand, and post the galleries online, all on the hope that someone wants them.
And I don't shoot-and-burn. I know plenty of photographers dump the card, post everything, and move on, and honestly there's nothing wrong with that — it's just never been how I work. If your dog is going to launch off a dock, I want that photo to be right. So I sit with each one, cropping, color-correcting, and adjusting until it's the best version of that moment it can be.
Here's the hard part. I've always done all of that on spec — building a full gallery for every single dog whether or not anyone ever planned to buy a photo. For years that was fine. But at 12,000+ images a weekend, spending days editing galleries that never get opened has caught up with me. If I want to keep doing this the careful way — and keep my sanity — I have to put my editing hours where they actually matter.
So here's the change, going forward:
If you'd like me to build your dog's gallery, there's now a $30 gallery creation fee — and it's really a credit, not a charge. That $30 includes one full-resolution image of your choice from the finished gallery. It's the same $30 I'd charge for a single image anyway, so you're not paying a penny extra — you're just letting me know you genuinely want the photos, and picking up your first one in the process.
And I stand behind the work completely: if you go through your finished gallery and honestly can't find one image you love, just tell me and I'll refund the $30, no questions asked.
That's it. This was never about the money — it's about being able to give the dogs whose people really want these photos the time and care they deserve. Thank you for understanding, and for trusting me with your pups. That part still means the world to me.
