This is Matt from Hospitality Butler, a luxury wedding planner and design extraordinaire. this shoot was such a fun one to create. Iā€™m sharing a little mix of the behind-the-scenes, the actual directing (yes, you get to hear me in my natural habitat šŸ˜‚), and a few of the final images once all the magic happened behind the scenes.

Because the finished photo is only half the story.

Yes, brand photos have a shelf lifeā€¦ but if theyā€™re done right, theyā€™ll follow you through all the plot twists your business throws your way.

This is a little throwback to Vanessaā€™s brand session as a Disney travel planner and honestly? These images are still putting in overtime. New offers, fresh marketing, website updates, social postsā€¦ theyā€™re still doing their job because we didnā€™t create content for a trendā€”we created images that actually looked like her.

The goal isnā€™t to book a brand shoot every time you change your logo, favorite color, or decide youā€™re suddenly a ā€œbeige aestheticā€ girl. šŸ˜‚ Itā€™s to build a gallery thatā€™s flexible enough to grow with your business while still feeling like you.

Branding isnā€™t just about showing people who you are today. Itā€™s about introducing them to where youā€™re headed.

Not every brand session needs a white backdrop, a seamless paper roll, or a perfectly curated studio. Sometimes the most authentic thing you can do is step into the world youā€™re intentionally building. Funny enough, that version of youā€”the one youā€™re working towardā€”is authenticity too.

This shoot with Noah of Charlotte Wedding Photographer was such a fun one to conceptualize. As a wedding photographer, he came in with a crystal-clear vision. We leaned into strong editorial storytelling, added a masculine edge that still felt inviting to the women he serves, and made sure his creativity stayed front and center. Every location, every frame, every little detail had a purpose.

Because branding isnā€™t about pretending to be someone else. Itā€™s about giving people a glimpse of the person and business youā€™re becoming before they experience it for themselves.

And if you ask meā€¦ thatā€™s a whole lot more interesting than another white backdrop!
