new year (kinda?) new tayler ann photography💫

I announced last year that I moved to Charleston, SC! While I have been so happy here and loving my 9-5 (but sometimes 2am) job, it hasn’t left me much time to establish myself as a photographer in this area! Charleston and the surrounding areas are BEAUTIFUL and my brain can’t help but imagine how gorgeous couples photos would be everywhere I drive. So much so that I have randomly dropped pins on google maps to go back to when I build my clientele back up!

So if you’ve noticed I’ve been MIA, that’s why! Just getting settled, exploring, and learning how to live literally across the country from everything we know! If you’re in the Charleston area, I’d love to dip my toes back into shooting! If you’re one of our PNW supporters, come visit and we can go explore with my camera🤍

I’ve also updated my website to reflect my new location, but unfortunately can’t change my email address so my email for inquiries is still [email protected] but not in Oregon anymore😉💌

SURPRISE - Tayler Ann Photography is now based in Charleston, SC😍

This was an accelerated move because a dream opportunity became within reach. I haven’t talked about it much on this account, but I haven’t Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which has affected my life greatly. I do a fairly good job pretending (and pushing my body) when I do weddings and shoots but I spend the next few days recovering.

I accepted a job as a researcher and scientist at which studies EDS and its associated conditions. So I’m basically getting to study my own condition with a bunch of other people who also have this condition!!!

That being said, my photography has changed as well. Unfortunately I had to scale back this years weddings which made me so sad, but I want to continue photography in Charleston which is arguably one of the most beautiful spots to photograph.

I am still looking to do couples and weddings with a focus on micro weddings and elopements. If you are a late 2025 or 2026 bride reach out if you’re looking for a (VERY reasonably priced) photographer🤩 I also have been increasing my branding photography as well (love a good studio sesh) so if you’re a small business looking to trade services and products I’m always down for that!

I’m sad to leave Oregon and not be in LCV as much, but stoked to see my photography grow in a completely new environment!

Ive obviously been to a lot of weddings, so here are some fun reception activities to add that not only keep the mood alive and going, but also allow you to get the most time and interaction with your loved ones while still enjoying the day with your new spouse🧑🏻‍❤️‍💋‍🧑🏽

📸 a Polaroid book! Your guests get to leave you a little memory for later
💘 Anniversary dance - all of the married couples slow dance and the DJ asks people to leave the dance floor year by year until you end with the longest married couple and they give a piece of marriage advice.
💨 photo run - you get one song to run to each table to take a group photo and get all the selfies!
💰 money dance - you pay a small fee to dance with the bride or groom, you get one on one time and support their honeymoon fund!
🪩 props - this adds some style and silliness to the dance floor!
💋 fun exit - everyone sends you off and you get a last look at the people who came to celebrate you!
