The single most important decision I've made in my life, and will continue to make, is to simply fall in Love with it.. exactly as it is. Life doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful, and we always have the option to choose happiness, right here and now.

It's not always an easy decision, as our minds constantly bombard us with so many reasons to feel discontent. But the option is ultimately.. always available...

Even when the pain and struggle overwhelms and numbs us, the choice lovingly and patiently awaits our decision - to Love our lives and ourselves - through acceptance.

I know a thing or two.. or have lost count.. about suffering. I've found that the greatest cause is the desire for different circumstances.

How much of our time and energy is spent working towards the future, creating a different life or a better version of ourselves?

And how much are we sacrificing the JOY and peace of mind available to us in the present moment, by focusing so much attention on what's ahead, or what may never come?

This isn't to say we don't have goals, ambitions, and make improvements in our lives, but to say we shouldn't become imprisoned by these desires, and shouldn't make our happiness dependent on their outcomes.

By falling in Love with our lives exactly where it is, and exactly how it is, we can relax and en*joy* the ride - even the dips - while we move towards our next destination 🎢

Nothing in life is guaranteed, other than this very moment you're experiencing, and if we're present, fully aware, and most importantly... fully allowing... we get to choose HOW we experience it.

We can choose to become consumed by the struggle, pain, and discontent, or we can choose to embrace what we've been given. This is the 3rd Eye Perspective.

For this capture, I chose to fall in Love with this incredible display of geological beauty. Piles of tiny pebbles, with a seemingly infinite diversity, found at the base of the ocean cliffs in Dana Point, California.

Ok.. here it is.. a 3rd Eye Perspective on this magnificently beautiful bloom. You might have wondered.. why am I obsessed with spring and flowers so much?

Well, first.. I'm obsessed with all things beautiful, but flowers pierce through to the deepest parts of my soul, with their infinite diversity and mesmerizing designs.

This right here.
This is why.

Look what we're witnessing. It starts as a bud, and somehow knows exactly how to fully blossom into this enchanting Beauty - perfectly - every time.

There is a blueprint for this blossoming.
A divinity.
An intelligence.
That same blueprint and life force exists throughout all of Nature and all of life.

It exists within you too... trust it.

Perception - It's a rock.  To many people who pass by, it's just a rock, assuming they see it at all 🙈

What I see is a wondrous, miraculous creation.. a testament to the brilliance of our existence.  A reminder of how fortunate we are to experience life on this planet.  Whether in awe of the artistry of God, the science of minerals and geology, or both, there is so much beauty & wonder to perceive in this simple, mineral filled rock, and in so many of life's simplicities.. provided for us, free of charge.  My calling.. and my work is to provide a gateway and a reminder to this perspective.  A 3rd Eye Perspective 👁

With all of the brilliance this rock exudes, there is no assurance it will be perceived by its viewers.  Similar to our human experience.  Regardless of how much brilliance, beauty, passion or depth we embody, there is no assurance that others will see it.  Human beings are limited by their perceptions.  

What I'm here to say - and I'm saying it LOUD - this time... is to not let their limitations and lack of ability to perceive stop us from embodying our fullest and most magnificent selves 🌟

The truth is, even if we want to believe otherwise, we're all susceptible to the opinions, viewpoints & perceptions of others.  The need to be seen, heard and recognized is an important component of the human psyche.  Why else would we be on IG seeking exactly that? 🤳

Knowing this, also know that many will lack the ability to perceive your essence. Despite the majority of passers by ignoring its presence, this magnificent creation doesn't hold back from fully expressing its beauty.  We, as uniquely beautiful expressions of the divine, should not hold back or doubt our own magnificence just because others may not be able to perceive it 💨

Exploring the vast, magical forests of Oregon… slowing down.. no rush, no destination.. just allowing myself to truly see, feel and connect to the gifts freely given to us by Mother Nature.

In these moments, the mind settles, the senses open, and the ordinary reveals itself as an extra-ordinary magic.

This stunningly beautiful field of flowering crops pulled me.. literally.. off the road.. spontaneously.. away from my destination.

I chose be here, in this moment, to fully immerse myself in the senses and the experiencing of this momentary-fleeting Beauty.

Moody Majesty - Charleston, South Carolina… a city that overflows with charm. Just being here - wandering the cobblestone streets, feeling the warm air, immersed in the historic beauty - fills the heart with delight and wonder.

This intricately carved, iconic Pineapple Fountain is one of the many symbolic treasures in the city, and I knew I had to capture it. So I made some time around dusk to head over, hoping for a vibrant sky with a brilliant display of clouds and radiant colors.

But Mother Nature had her own vision, and I was happy to follow her lead. She sent storm clouds - moody, brewing, layered with emotion.

Honestly though? It felt amazing to me. It was undeniably.. a mood.

The water of the fountain reflected the mood of the sky.. the soft fountain light glowed a bit more radiantly against the dark, layered backdrop.. and the whole scene breathed with an unexpected majesty… calm, rich, soulful... reflective.

It was an invitation to pause, observe, feel.. to appreciate and honor the unexpected form beauty often takes. Charleston offered me this opportunity, and I was grateful to be here, in this moment, to experience and capture this moody majesty.
