1. Þorvaldarbúð Turf Houses: These turf houses are located at The Fishermen’s Garden and Maritime Museum in Hellissandur on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in West Iceland. Hellissandur is one of the oldest fishing villages in Iceland. In the olden times, there was a big, vibrant fishing community here, with some 60 seasonal fishermen’s huts in 1700.

3. Ingjaldshólskirkja is one of Iceland’s most picturesque and historically significant churches. It is located on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula near the village of Hellissandur. Perched atop a gentle hill, the striking red-roofed white church is a stunning sight! The church dates back to the 12th century, making it the oldest concrete church in Iceland. Local lore claims that Christopher Columbus visited the area before embarking on his famous voyage to America.
4. Búðakirkja is a small wooden church located on the south side of Snæfellsnes Peninsula in the small hamlet of Budir, Iceland. It is known for its black exterior and is one of the most photographed buildings in Iceland.
