what does a $100,000 wedding actually get you? 👀
i think people hear “six-figure wedding” and automatically imagine an unlimited budget.
but when you start breaking down what goes into producing a wedding for 150 guests, you might be surprised how quickly that money gets allocated.
here’s one hypothetical $100,000 wedding budget:
venue, catering + bar: $40,000
wedding planning + design: $12,000
florals, rentals + production: $22,000
photography + videography: $10,000
entertainment: $6,000
stationery, transportation + miscellaneous: $5,000
contingency: $5,000
total: $100,000
these aren’t exact vendor quotes or what every wedding should cost. it’s simply an example of how a six-figure budget could be distributed.
and here’s what i think is interesting.
two couples can spend the exact same amount on their weddings and create completely different experiences.
one might prioritize an incredible reception transformation with custom florals, lighting, and installations.
another might invest more heavily in guest hospitality, an amazing live band, and an entire weekend of celebrations.
neither approach is wrong.
but even with a $100,000 budget, you still have to make decisions about what matters most.
that’s why i’d encourage couples planning weddings at this level to involve their planner early and build a budget around their actual priorities.
because the goal isn’t to make every part of your wedding expensive.
it’s to make sure your investment creates the experience you actually want.
