A super special senior session last week🥹 I've been taking his photos since he was 3- and during that first session, his mom and I connected over her makeup abilities and my need for a makeup artist, and 15 years later, she's someone I consider one of my best friends and I have had the honor of watching that sweet little boy grow up into an amazing young man. These moments aren't lost on me. They never get old, and I feel all the feels. I had to hold back tears this whole session because it's wild watching these kids grow up so fast but having the honor of pausing time, is so special to me.
These seniors are killing me this year. I'm too Emo 🤣🥹🖤

I grew up in Davie county, and I am lucky enough to still be here, raising my own family. So being here as long as I have, there are spots/locations that have caught my eyes for many years...some my whole life. This spot is one of those. I lived a mile from this spot as a child, and I have always loved the way the light hit it, the trees, the big sky and how pretty the weeds and brush grew in every year. Well, I made 1 phone call this week to just see if it was a possibly to do this senior session there...and they said YES! I was so giddy the entire time and it was everything I dreamed of. Thanks to this sweet girl for trusting me with the idea to shoot her senior photos in random field off the side of the road😂I've also been lucky enough to be photographing her since she was about 3! (I need to find a photo from her first session!) Many more from this session coming!

I had my own photo request at this wedding... I had to get a photo with all 3 Grubb siblings, because I have now had the honor of photographing all 3 of their weddings at their beautiful venue: The Farm at Oak Hill🫶

This is what a week in busy season looks like! Newborns, Maternity, Weddings, Family, Minis, and events! It's never boring and filled with so much love & happiness! (This doesn't even include all the minis on one day!) So yes, I am behind on posting (I hope to post more from what you see here, too!) but, I am immersed in memory capturing, and I am ok with that 🥰

I am so bad about getting behind on posting this time of year! I have SO much to share!
I have loved seeing this sweet couple grow their family. I've done their engagement photos, bridal, wedding, maternity, extended family, and back here again for another babe on the way🤍 Truly an honor to keep getting asked back into their lives to capture these moments.
