Might leave the lab work behind and just switch professions to roaming the woods looking for mushrooms I’ve never seen before. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Can you get paid for that? Glad to find this lovely lady this morning. No earthly idea what it is because all the books in the world can’t seem to teach me how to identify these things. 😅😅 Also I need a macro lens baaaaad.

Monotropa Uniflora and some Chicken of the Woods. People were walking right past these things at a popular waterfall in The Smokies. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Guess they’re not quite as “striking” once they’ve been pollinated. I still like ‘em!
