Some people walk away from a session with photos.

My goal is for them to walk away with memories they’ll still love 20 years from now.

These two made my job easy. The kind of people you meet for five minutes and feel like you’ve known forever.

I don’t care if we’re on a beach, a dirt road, a family farm, or somebody’s front porch. The best photos have never been about the location. They’re about connection.

If you’ve been putting off booking a session, I do still have a few spots I can squeeze into July and August before fall gets here. 💗

I’m back at my computer today catching up on everything. Multiple galleries are headed out by midnight tonight, every DM has been answered, and invoices and contracts have all been sent over.

We had plans to take these in a flower field over in Mississippi, but after all the rain we’ve gotten these past few weeks, the blooms didn’t stand a chance.

So… we improvised. 💐

If we couldn’t bring MK to the flowers, we just brought the flowers to MK instead. And honestly? I think it turned out even sweeter than what we originally had planned.

I was out of town when this precious girl made her grand entrance into the world, so I wasn’t able to make it to the hospital for her Fresh 48. Her deddy ended up getting called out of town for work and missed these too, but we’ll make up for that another day.

For now, I’m just thankful we still got to freeze this tiny little season of life because goodness, MK is about as perfect as they come. 💗

What are y’all up to? Working? Yeah, me too. We’ve officially bout made it to Friday. Did y’all have a good week?

I’m finishing up my last few sessions today and then tomorrow through Sunday I’m actually taking a little break. Not for work this time either, some much needed me time.

I’m doing my favorite thing in the whole world: country music concerts back to back. 🤠 Zach Top in OBA, then heading straight to Atlanta for Ella Langley and Cody Johnson (for the 3rd time lol). I swear concerts make me happier than just about anything. They’ve got me grinning ear to ear every single time.

I won’t have my laptop with me this weekend, so if you need me, try to catch me tonight! If not, just shoot me a message Monday and I’ll get right back with ya.

I swear your vibe really does attract your tribe.

As soon as they pulled up, I could tell they were just good people. We had the best time, caught a pretty island sunset, and I rode home with the windows down and Hank Jr. turned up way too loud. 💃

Sometimes I sit back and think, how is this really my job!? And I’m thankful for it every single time. 🥰

I’ve gotten quite a few messages today asking if I have any last minute June openings or somewhere I can squeeze them in, so I figured I’d put it here too. 🩷

At the moment, June is completely booked. If you’re hoping to get in, I’d be happy to add you to my cancellation list in case something unexpectedly opens up, recommend another local photographer who may have availability, or we can go ahead and get you on the calendar for July.

I never want anyone to wait until the last minute and end up disappointed, so if there’s a season or milestone you know you want captured, reaching out a little earlier is always your best bet. 🥰

The guy in these photos is actually my distant cousin. It’s been a while since we’ve really been around each other, but I can still remember him as a little kid. He’s just as funny now as he was back then.

Seeing him about to become a dad is one of those moments that makes you stop and realize just how fast life really flies.

One minute you’re running around barefoot without a care in the world, and the next you’re holding ultrasound pictures and waiting on your own little girl to arrive. 🎀

Life is wild like that. 🥹

Congratulations to him and his beautiful wife, Emily, on their sweet baby girl. She’s already surrounded by so much love, and I can’t wait to watch this next chapter unfold for them. 💐
