RiverView Turf Farm had 3 gorgeous sunflower fields. At no charge they allowed photographers to come shoot. This was my one of my favorite images of these beautiful sunflowers.

Theodore, AL

These mushrooms were growing along the side of the road in Theodore, AL. Shooting at eye level gives this image a different perspective. I was able to capture them using a 90 mm macro lens.

Bellingrath Gardens and Home

Bellingrath Gardens and Home has a variety of tulips throughout the gardens every year. Tulips among others are a sign of springtime and new beginnings. With this image I was able to capture it's softness and the bokeh of colors of other tulips in the background.

I took this picture of the azalea bloom as I walked down our driveway one morning around 9:00. The azaleas are just beginning to bloom in our area and will last just a few weeks. I used my iPhone 15.

In the middle of nowhere in Indiana

This is Locust Grove Church in Indiana. In every direction, the land stretches out flat and endless, a quiet sea of corn beneath the open sky. Then, almost unexpectedly, a small hill rises from the plain. At its crest sits a modest church and an adjoining graveyard, peaceful and still.
From a distance, it feels like a beacon?soft, welcoming, and steady?standing watch over the fields. There?s a simple picnic area tucked behind the church, made for shared meals and quiet conversations, and a small playground where children laugh and play on Sundays. The church and the graveyard are both lovingly maintained, the grounds neat and well cared for, reflecting the reverence and warmth of the people who gather there.

Upper Mobile Harbor just below the Africatown Bridge

I noticed a large amount of smoke in Mobile that morning, Jan 12, and my first thought as always was that a ship was on fire, I take photos of the ships in the harbor as my hobby, so I'm never very far away from my camera, a Canon EOS 5DS, with a Canon 28-300L.
The image was shot from the bridge, the tug LISA COOPER was squirting water on the barge, and it looked almost out, but later flared up with a lot of flames, so I came back and got more photos, you can view them on Facebook site: Fred's Freighter Photos.
