One of the hardest yet most rewarding hikes I’ve done. To spend the night on the top of the Cascades has been on the bucket list for years. So thrilled we snagged last minute permits for this trip!

Visiting Iceberg Lake in Glacier has been on my bucket list for awhile! It’s crazy how even in September there are icebergs floating around. I felt the water and I don’t think even on the warmest summer day I would try to get in.

We had our campsite invaded by mountain goats.

About a dozen goats came down from the hillside to graze. They were on the hunt for salt on top of the picnic table and grill. We were lucky to be able to view them from the safety of the van!

Spent some time with the black bears in Cades Cove. They were feasting on the cherry trees and napping in the afternoon sun!

The cubs were so fun to watch get up on their hind legs for check things out. Couldn’t have picked a better weekend to go.
