Pros and Cons of eloping in each major location in Moab
Arches
Pros: Incredible views, unique and iconic arches and formations, really accessible hikes and not a lot of walking required to get to epic photo locations
Cons: SO CROWDED, long lines to enter the park, parking can be insane, more competition to secure ceremony permits, and people alllll over
Canyonlands
Pros: HUGE - especially if you want to adventure through the Maze or Needles areas. Insane views, less busy than Arches, and permits are very easy to obtain
Cons: You must be cool with heights for all of the Island in the Sky locations, lots of extra travel time to get to Needles and Maze locations
Dead Horse Point
Pros: Views for days, extremely accessible, dog friendly, large group friendly, easy permit process, lots of availability
Cons: Like none honestly
BLM spots
Pros: So much to choose from, especially if it’s just the two of you! Possibilities and views are endless, dog friendly, can incorporate so many activities and adventures.
Cons: the permit process is way more difficult if you are bringing guests with you. Popular areas can be just as busy as the National Parks
